CL will be dubbing an animation for the first time since her debut.
CL will be dubbing in The Pinkfong Company’s animation “Baby Shark’s Big Show!”, which is loved all over the world.
“Baby Shark Ollie and William” ranked No.1 in ratings on the first day of its airing in the U.S. under the title “Baby Shark’s Big Show!”. It was broadcast in popularity around the world, including the UK, Italy and Australia.
CL, who will appear in the new episode “The Seaweed Sway” of “Baby Shark’s Big Show!” which has been airing on EBS 1TV since May 30th, will perform in voice of the superstar character “Sharki L”.
“Sharki L” is the Korean version of the character “Sharki B” played by hip-hop musician “Cardi B” in the U.S. airing in April. The Pinkfong Company actively considered CL’s frank charm and splendid performance, and decided to cast her from the stage of domestic broadcasting planning.
The “The Seaweed Sway” episode contains a dance adventure story that takes place when baby shark “Ollie” and best friend “William” stand together on Sharki L’s stage. Ollie and William are frustrated that they cannot do the same as Sharki L’s seaweed dance, but Sharki L reminds them that their own original movements are the best dances, and they put on a successful performance.
The “The Seaweed Sway” episode in which CL participated in dubbing will be available on EBS 1TV at 5:30 p.m. on July 4th.
Meanwhile, CL, who led 2NE1’s surprise reunion stage at the world-renowned music festival Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (Coachella) in April, will participate in MAIN SQUARE FESTIVAL in France on June 30th, WIRELESS FESTIVAL in Germany on July 8th, RFM SOMNII in Portugal on July 9th and SUMMER SONIC to be held in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan on August 20th and 21st.
