Cho Jin Woong speculated to be the actor in his 40s who got into a DUI accident, agency responds

An actor in his 40s who starred in “The Policeman’s Lineage” and “Black Money” reportedly had a drinking accident. Is he Cho Jin Woong? 

A male actor in his 40s who starred in the movies “The Policeman’s Lineage” (2022) and “Black Money” (2019) was reportedly booked for a drinking accident. Speculation arose that the actor in question was Cho Jin Woong, who appeared as the lead actor in both films. However, this has been confirmed to be untrue.

Cho Jin Woong’s agency told Wikitree on February 14th, “The male actor in his 40s in the article is not Cho Jin Woong.

Previously, a media outlet reported that male actor A in his 40s, who appeared in “The Policeman’s Lineage” and “Black Money” got into an accident at around 6:30 am KST on February 14th at the southern end of Hannam Bridge in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, by crashing into a traffic light.

At the time of the accident, A’s blood alcohol level was at the level of license revocation. A was immediately investigated by the police as the degree of injury was not serious. The passenger was transported to a nearby hospital.

Some netizens started a rumor that A was Cho Jin Woong as he appeared in both films and he was born in 1976.  However, this turned out to be not true.
