Chinese netizens attacked BTS RM as he showed support for Hwang Dae-heon, the South Korean athlete who overtook Chinese players but got disqualified 

Chinese malicious comments are pouring out as BTS RM posted a chewing message for Hwang Dae-heon, who was disqualified in the men’s 1000m short track semi-finals.

On February 7th, RM posted 4 videos on his Instagram Story.

The last video showed Hwang Dae-heon surpassing Chinese players in the men’s 1000m short track speed skating semi-final at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Along with the video, RM also added emoticons, such as clapping and raising thumbs up.

This can be understood as a supportive message for Hwang Dae-heon, who was disqualified for some doubtful reasons.

After then, BTS’s official Instagram account has  been bombarded with malicious comments from Chinese people. Some got too frustrated and made comments that are close to personal attacks.

Korean netizens got angry. They responded, “They left malicious comments because they felt guilty”, “How dare you touch him?”, “He’s showing support for the athletes of his own country. Why are you guys making such a fuss?”, etc.

Earlier that day, Hwang Dae-heon won No.1 in the men’s 1000m short track speed skating semifinals but was disqualified.

According to the video review, it is said that Hwang Da-heon belatedly entered the course.

In the end, Hwang Dae-heon failed to advance to the final.

Lee Joon-seo of Group 2 in the semifinals also crossed the finish line but at No.2 but was also disqualified due to a foul.

Therefore, two Chinese players have advanced to the finals.
