The next project of Seol In Ah after “Business Proposal” has been announced.
An entertainment official told Sports Chosun on May 26th, “Seol In Ah will play the main character of KBS 2TV’s new drama ‘Oasis’. ‘Oasis’ is set in the turbulent period of Korea from the 1980s to the 1990s. It depicts the fierce life, revenge, and conflict of young people who had to live only in pursuit of power and wealth, regardless of means in the wrong social values.”
Seol In Ah will star as Oh Jung Shin (aka Sophia). Born in 1961 as the daughter of Namhae Theater’s owner, she grew up with Doo Hak and Cheol Woong. She came down from Seoul and spent middle and high school in Yeosu, where she met Doo Hak and Cheol Woong. After experiencing a tearful breakup, she transforms into a strong female figure who becomes a cultural mogul with tenacity for success and revenge, jumping into film distribution and production to revive the theater.
Seol In Ah recently received worldwide attention as she nailed the lovely second female lead Jin Young Seo in “Business Proposal”. After the drama ended, she transferred to a new agency, Gold Medalist, which houses Kim Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Ji, and Kim Sae Ron. According to the agency, offers for Seol In Ah from the advertising industry are pouring in. Attention is also being paid to her upcoming portrayal in “Oasis”.
“Oasis” is penned by writer Jung Hyung Soo, who wrote “Damo”, “Jumong”, and “The Jingbirok: A Memoir of Imjin”.
