BTS V became the most searched Kpop idol in the history of Google

The BTS member V continued to prove his worldwide influence and popularity with this newest record from Google.

Recently, statistics from Google Trends revealed that BTS’s Kim Taehyung, also known as V, is the most searched Kpop idol in the history of the biggest search engine Google.

This Google Trends data is compiled from 2013 to 2022, and covers the entire active period of BTS. According to this, V is the most searched member of BTS from way before the group attained their worldwide fame, and remains the most buzz-worthy one even today. Even more interestingly, Jungkook and Jimin also hold the 2nd and 3rd positions the entire time.

Previously, many other new sites also ranked V as 2022’s most popular idol. The pop entertainment site Otakusmart has also crowned V as the world’s most famous Kpop idol for two consecutive years, using data from number of searches on Google, number of followers on Instagram, and number of Guiness’s world records, and many more. They also hailed the male singer as the “Diamond Voice of Korea”.

V is well-known for breaking his own staggering records and achieving outstanding accomplishments throughout his career. In April, the AI-based site Hypeauditor, which measures the influence of various celebrities, also positioned V as 10th among its Top 100 Most Influential People on Instagram.
