Suga, a member of BTS, records the highest-grossing concert in the U.S. by a Korean soloist with his “D-Day Tour”.
From April 26th to 27th, BTS Suga’s two-night “D-Day Tour” concert commenced at the UBS Arena in Belmont, New York. According to Touring Data, the two-night concert garnered a revenue of $5,94 million, an estimate of $2,95 billion for each night. The concert attracted 29,4 thousand audience members.
This is the highest gross accumulated by a Korean solo artist at a location in the U.S. More surprisingly, this is only the first two concert nights of Suga’s “D-Day Tour”. The singer plans to tour around a total of 25 destinations, which are separated into two legs, North America and Asia.
Prior to the tour, BTS Suga marked his solo album “D-Day” released on April 21st under the alias Agust D. The album features the singles “People Pt.2” and “Haegeum”. His documentary “Suga: Road to D-Day” was also released on the same day as that of the album.
At present, Suga has finished a one-night concert in Newark on April 29th, a three-night concert in Rosemont from May 3rd – 6th, and two out three nights of performance in Inglewood. He will wrap up the North American leg with a two-night concert in Oakland.
