BTS Jin named “Most influential influencer in the US”, ranks 1st among Asian men and 3rd among men worldwide

BTS Jin has proven his amazing popularity by taking the 15th spot in HypeAuditor’s “Top 1000 Most Influential Influencers in the US” ranking.

BTS member Jin ranked 15th in the “Top 1000 Most Influential Influencers in the United States” ranking, according to the influencer marketing platform HypeAuditor on April 9th.

Despite serving as an active duty sergeant in the South Korean army, Jin’s unwavering popularity and immense influence in the US social media landscape is undeniable.

He sets a record of 160 consecutive days at the top among Asian men, including 24 days in March 2020, 107 days from October 2020, and 29 consecutive days since March 12, 2021.

Jin’s record also places him third in the world among worldwide men, following singer Justin Bieber and soccer player Neymar. While Justin Bieber and Neymar’s most-followed and engaged country is Brazil, Jin’s followers are mostly from the US.

As the only BTS member ranked among the “Top 50 Most Influential Influencers in the US,” Jin joins the ranks of the world’s most famous artists, including Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Shakira. Meanwhile, BTS’s agency, Big Hit, ranks 20th in the same ranking.

Despite opening his personal Instagram account later than other celebrities, on December 6, 2021, Jin’s impressive ranking and popularity remained consistent for a long period.

Jin’s authentic and modest daily life, coupled with his innate sense of style and his various nicknames such as “Fundamental Beauty,” “Vocal King,” and “Crystal Voice,” has captivated the hearts of many. Jin’s Instagram account currently boasts 44.75 million followers as of April 10, 2023, despite having very few uploads due to his military service.

In addition to HypeAuditor’s ranking, Jin has also been named in Starngage’s “Top Music Instagram Influencers in Korea in 2023,” where he placed third and was the only solo artist in the top three.

Jin was also the solo artist with the most social media mentions worldwide and was ranked first among solo artists by NetBase Quid, a US social media analysis firm and consumer market information platform.

Jin’s first solo single, “The Astronaut,” released on October 28, 2021, recorded the first million-seller and became the first certified solo single in the KMCA in the history of Circle Chart.

The MV for “The Astronaut” also set a new record of 17 consecutive days at the top of the “World’s Most Popular Music Videos on YouTube,” surpassing his previous record of 16 consecutive days with “Super Tuna.”

“The Astronaut” also set a new record for Korean male solo songs on Spotify, reaching 100 million streams in just 72 days, the shortest time ever. As of April 8, 2023, it has surpassed 148.66 million streams.

“The Astronaut” was ranked 68th in the ‘100 Best Songs of the Year’ by Rolling Stone, the top music magazine in the United States, and Jin was named the highest-ranked Asian solo artist.

In addition, “The Astronaut” was selected as the 14th best K-pop song in “The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2022: Staff Picks” by Billboard staff, and was ranked 4th in “Top 10 K-Pop Songs of 2022” by the French media outlet Paris Match.
