BTS goes “empty-handed” at BRIT Awards 2021

BTS once again receives nothing at an international awards ceremony -BRIT Awards 2021.

The BRIT Awards 2021 ceremony just ended at dawn today in London, UK.  Considered as “British Grammy”, the results of the BRIT Awards are expected by the public worldwide.

Despite being nominated in the International Group category, BTS completely failed against Haim, a Pop / Rock girl group from the US.  Everyone knows that the UK market is stricter and more “academic” than America, however, the results still disappoint fans.

A series of videos with more than 100 million views of BTS has been removed from Youtube

ARMY’s are calling foul and say HAIM did not have as big of an impact as much as BTS did. Some even claim that the BRITS merely used BTS for the clout and views similar to the Grammys.

On the other hand, this award ceremony is also controversial in the International Female Solo Artist category. Specifically, Billie Eilish surpassed a series of extremely popular seniors in the profession including Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and Cardi B to win the trophy for this category.  Immediately, this result aroused a huge controversy, especially from Taylor Swift fans who said that Billie Eilish did not deserve this victory this year.

With the impressive Future Nostalgia album, Dua Lipa is the “brightest” name at BRIT Awards 2021 with 2 awards of British Album of The Year and British Female Solo Artist. Harry Styles took home a British Single award with Watermelon Sugar.  The Weekend, after boycotting the Grammy, also received the International Male Solo Artist award.
