BLACKPINK’s Rosé Meets with CEO of US Major Record Label Amid Uncertainty Over YG Contract

Amid the uncertainty of BLACKPINK Rosé’s re-signing with YG, her meeting with an American record label’s CEO is capturing interest

On October 16th, a BLACKPINK fan base in France shared photos of Rosé meeting with Ron Perry, the CEO of Columbia Records. Columbia Records is an American record label known for representing Adele, Beyoncé, and Harry Styles. The publicly shared photos capture Ron Perry explaining something to Rosé.

There is also speculation that Rosé will collaborate with Beyoncé for her solo album.

BLACKPINK’s exclusive contract with YG expired in August. BLACKPINK members and YG have not yet renewed their contracts, and there have been rumors that Jisoo and Jennie will establish their own agencies. Additionally, Lisa was reported to have received a signing bonus of 50 billion won ($40 million) from a different record label.

After Ron Perry’s meeting with Rosé, Jennifer Mallory, the president of Columbia Records, followed all BLACKPINK members on Instagram. This has sparked speculation that the BLACKPINK members might be signing with Columbia Records instead of YG.
