BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is the go-to face for luxury brands

Boasting over 76.8 million followers on Instagram and a flourishing career as both an actress and a K-pop idol, serving as the lead vocalist and visual of BLACKPINK, Jisoo is of course booked by various brands. 

A 2022 article by the South China Morning Post estimated Jisoo’s net worth at $20 million, with a major chunk coming from partnerships with major brands.

As the brand’s global ambassador, Jisoo raked in $45 million in media value for Dior, propelling the brand to the top at Paris Fashion Week (as per Korea Herald).

Here’s a rundown of major brands that Kim Jisoo is currently working with.

Dior

One of Jisoo’s pivotal partnerships is with Dior, a brand that dominates her schedule and is among the oldest ones for which she serves as a global ambassador. In 2019, she was unveiled as the ambassador for Dior Beauty. Subsequently, she participated in the Fall/Winter 2020 collection of the French luxury brand, making frequent appearances at Paris Fashion Week and other significant events. 

In 2021, she introduced the ‘Dior Forever Skin Glow Cushion,’ endorsing both the Spring/Summer collection and Dior High bag. She was announced as the new global ambassador for both fashion and beauty.

According to Soompi quoting the brand, Jisoo inspired creative director Grazia Chiuri for the Fall collection, embodying “her unique boldness for the modernity of the fashion house,” and “Jisoo will also perfectly embody the powerful makeup style created by (Dior’s Image and Creative Director) Peter Philips.”

That year, Jisoo took front-row seats at various shows, each documented and widely covered in both print and social media.

In 2022, she kicked off promotions for Dior’s Addict lipstick collection. On her 28th birthday, Dior launched a new lip gloss shade, ‘031 Strawberry.’ Most recently, she, along with Cha Eun Woo and fashion model Nonso David, showcased Dior Beauty’s Le Baume product.

Cartier

The name behind some of the world’s most luxurious jewelry and watches, Cartier, which has collaborated with stars like Lily Collins, BTS V, and Jake Gyllenhaal, announced Jisoo as its global ambassador. Stating that her confident style has made her the voice of the “new generation of creators,” bold and talented individuals.

Soompi quoted Jisoo saying: “It is an honor for me to become a member of the Panthère community, where each individual has their unique and special color.” She added, “I hope to share the beauty of Panthère with many people.”

Since then, Jisoo has been seen wearing the brand’s sophisticated designs – including the Panthère De Cartier earrings priced at $41,000 and the necklace priced at $25,000.

Dyson

One of Jisoo’s recent collaborations added to her list of endorsements is with the well-known home appliance company Dyson, which announced her as its new ambassador.

The brand shared images of the idol introducing the limited-edition color of the Airwrap Multi-Styler. Prestige quoted Dyson’s President Kathleen Pierce saying, “Jisoo embodies a beauty full of ambition, modernity, and timelessness, playing a crucial role in honoring natural beauty and improving hair health.”

Meanwhile, Jisoo noted, “Dyson’s products are always essential to me. They help me effortlessly create beautiful hairstyles without much effort.”

MapleStory

Dubbed the “gamer girl” of BLACKPINK, it’s no surprise that Jisoo has added one of the most famous developers in the gaming industry, Nexon, to her list of contract agreements – the name behind popular games like Counter Strike and Crazy Arcade.

Jisoo was appointed as the brand ambassador for the online multiplayer role-playing game MapleStory in 2022 – the second famous personality to achieve this after Olympic archer Kim Jae Duk.

The official announcement came with a video showcasing her in-game login and logout history – confirming her as a long-time player.

Dunst

Korean street fashion brand Dunst introduced Jisoo in 2023 – releasing a video featuring the idol wearing elegant blazers with blue jeans, dresses, hoodies, etc. This aligns with their Winter Collection, Campaign 23FW. Global fans witnessed many products of the brand selling out immediately after her endorsement – affirming her popularity as a brand ambassador.

After extending her contract as a group with YG Ent, Jisoo will be active under her brother’s management company for solo activities in the future. There might be more brands eager to collaborate, and Jisoo is likely to gain even more attention.
