BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s $16 Tank Top Sells Out, Foreign Media Takes Notice of Her Fashion Influence

Foreign press are paying attention to the fashion influence of BLACKPINK’s Jennie. 

On April 17th (local time), Rolling Stone published an article titled “Jennie’s Influence: The $16 Tank Top She Wore on Tour Sells Out Immediately”.

Previously, Jennie shared several photos on her Instagram with the caption, “Thank you so much for the amazing two days in Tokyo.” 

One of the photos shows her wearing a floral tank top that caught people’s attention. The top is from a global SPA brand based in LA, and it costs around $16 (approximately 20,115 won). After Jennie wore it, it quickly sold out on the brand’s website, proving her influence.

The representative of the SPA brand said, “We are avid fans of BLACKPINK. Their music, stage presence, and style are dazzling. Each member has their own talent, and they have inspired us greatly.” 

The brand expressed their happiness, saying, “It felt like a dream come true when we saw Jennie wearing our clothes.”

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK, including Jennie, is currently going on their largest world tour, “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK],” which attracts about 1.5 million fans. 

On April 15th, they performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the largest music festival in the United States held in Indio, California. In 2019, they were the first Korean girl group to perform at Coachella, and this year, they made history as the first K-pop headliner.
