BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Chaebol, Miss Korea And More: 7 Times G-Dragon Was Caught In Dating Rumors
One more dating rumor surrounding singer G-Dragon appeared this year with Miss Korea 2nd runner-up Kim Go-eun as the main character.
On March 10th, Korean media reported that G-Dragon and Kim Go-eun’s dating rumor was untrue. G-Dragon, who was born in 1988, and Kim Go-eun, who was born in 2000, have a 12 year age gap. Rumors of a romantic relationship between the two emerged through overseas fandom last year as they were spotted attending acquaintances’ parties together or posting similar photos on their personal social media accounts. However, G-Dragon denied the allegation, saying they are close friends, not lovers.
G-Dragon’s dating rumors have been steadily raised since his debut with Big Bang in 2006, ranging from foreign models, juniors in his agency, colleagues in the entertainment industry, to granddaughters of chaebol families.
In 2010, he denied his dating rumor with Kiko Mizuhara, a Japanese model. The two were spotted enjoying a date at an amusement park and talking at a restaurant.
He was also rumored to be dating Chinese star Angela Baby. At that time, Angela Baby posted a photo of her at G-Dragon’s concert and expressing her love for him as a fan. G-Dragon dealt with the romance rumor by directly explaining that they are “close friends.”
He also drew attention when a photo of him with Japanese model and actress Komatsu Nana was leaked.
In Korea, he was involved in several romantic rumors with After School member Lee Joo-yeon. At that time, YG Entertainment avoided addressing this rumor. As the two stars posted photos taken together and photos taken at the same place on their personal accounts, the dating scandal grew. The two sides eventually dismissed it, claiming they were “friends,” but the suspicion did not fade easily.
After Lee Joo-yeon, G-Dragon was caught in rumors of a romantic relationship with BLACKPINK’s Jennie, a junior at his agency. YG said that it was not possible to confirm the artists’ personal life, drawing a line for the birth of an in-house couple.
Early last year, he was rumored to be dating Lee Myung-hee, granddaughter of Shinsegae Group’s chairman. YG once again stated that this rumor was groundless.
