Blackpink Tops January Girl Group Brand Reputation – NewJeans and IVE Follow

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 45,245,126 pieces of brand big data measured from December 14, 2023, to January 14, 2024, to measure brand reputation indices using participation index, media index, communication index, and community index for girl groups. Compared to the 51,479,104 pieces of girl group brand big data from December, there was a 12.11% decrease.

The brand reputation index is a metric created through brand big data analysis, indicating that online habits of consumers significantly influence brand consumption. The girl group brand reputation index measures the positive and negative evaluations of girl groups, media interest, and the level of consumer interest and communication. The analysis also includes channel analysis of brand reputation monitors.

Director Koo Chang-hwan of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute stated, “In the brand big data analysis for girl group brand reputation in January 2024, Blackpink (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) recorded the highest ranking. When analyzing the girl group brand category, it decreased by 12.11% compared to the girl group brand big data of 51,479,104 from December. Detailed analysis shows a 11.05% decrease in brand consumption, 6.75% decrease in brand issues, 19.48% decrease in brand communication, and 11.63% decrease in brand diffusion.”

He continued, “In the link analysis of Blackpink, which recorded the 1st place in girl group brand reputation in January 2024 (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa), ‘appearing, recording, freedom’ scored high. In the keyword analysis, ‘Jennie, red carpet, Billboard’ scored high. The positive ratio for the Blackpink brand analysis was 93.54%. Detailed analysis of Blackpink’s brand big data showed an 8.60% decrease in brand consumption, 2.09% decrease in brand issues, 37.12% decrease in brand communication, and 25.41% decrease in brand diffusion.”
