BLACKPINK Jennie Makes Public Appearance with Cheerful Attitude Amid Speculation of Leaving YG

BLACKPINK Jennie radiantly greeted fans in Paris amid rumors of her departure from YG Entertainment.

On July 15th, BLACKPINK’s Jennie was spotted outside the hotel where she was staying in Paris, France. In front of the camera, she looked radiant and continuously waved to fans. This is the first time Jennie has appeared in public since rumors of her leaving YG.

Earlier, on the podcast “Dua Lipa: At Your Service” on July 14th, Jennie talked about her artistic journey as a singer. Here, Jennie reminisced about her trainee days with the members of BLACKPINK, “The good thing about the label I was under was, not only they wanted us to be able to sing in Korean but we would cover so many pop songs.”

Some netizens believed that the label Jennie referred to was YG. Interestingly, Jennie used the past tense instead of saying that YG is her current label, sparking the suspicion that she had left YG. However, fans argued that the label Jennie mentioned was not YG itself but rather a YG subsidiary. 

Currently, YG’s side has not officially commented on the rumor of Jennie leaving the company.
