3 members of BLACKPINK are attracting huge attention as dating rumors continue to emerge one after another.
On July 10th (local time), various overseas media reported that BLACKPINK Lisa was spotted with Frédéric Arnault at a restaurant in Paris, France, raising dating rumors. It is known that Frédéric Arnault is the CEO of luxury watch brand Tag Heuer and the son of Bernard Arnault, chairman of LVMH Group.
Previously in November last year, Frédéric Arnault had attended BLACKPINK’s concert in LA, and even shared photos taken backstage with the members, revealing their friendship. As the dating rumor between the son of the world’s richest man and a global star drew attention worldwide, BLACKPINK’s agency, YG Entertainment, has not made any particular statement.
Meanwhile, back in May, French freelance reporter Amar Taoualit sparked dating rumors between BTS V and BLACKPINK Jennie by posting a video on his SNS, which showed a man and a woman holding hands and going on a date in Paris. V and Jennie had previously faced dating rumors when photos of their private lives, including visits to restaurants, Jeju Island, and even a salon, were leaked last year.
Ultimately, YG Entertainment released an official statement in October last year, stating, “We have requested an investigation into the person who first spread photos of Jennie’s private life, and we have also filed complaints against netizens who posted various malicious comments related to private life photos under the Network Act, including defamation, violation of the prohibition of illegal information distribution, and charges of obscene crimes through communication media.”
However, they did not disclose their stance on the dating rumors.
On July 12th, Jennie posted several photos on her Instagram, which show her various memories of the past. Among them, one photo had Jennie dressed in the same outfit as the woman in Taoualit’s “Paris date” video, leading to dating rumors with BTS V resurfacing. In addition, a photo of Jennie’s meal at a restaurant also matched with an old photo featuring BTS V and his friends, adding weight to the dating speculation.
Prior to Lisa and Jennie, dating rumors emerged between Rosé and Kang Dong Won back in April. Suspicions arose primarily from their alleged attendance at the same event. Their joint participation in the art fair “Frieze Seoul” held at COEX in Seoul last year also raised suspicions.
In response to this, YG Entertainment initially stated that they are unable to confirm Rosé and Kang Dong Won’s relationship, seeing that it is a private matter. However, as interest in the dating rumors did not subside, YG released another statement, which clarified that the dating rumors about Rosé are not true, and called them “baseless speculations”.
