BLACKPINK Jennie releases Met Gala Vlog showing her washing face with ice and explaining hairstyle

BLACKPINK member Jennie suffered when washing her face with ice water.

On July 14th, BLACKPINK Jennie’s personal Youtube channel “Jennierubyjane Official” uploaded the new “Met Gala vlog” video.

The video showed Jennie preparing for the 2023 Met Gala in New York in May. First, Jennie showed up with her bare face and got an eye massage from her makeup staff. Then, the staff held ice in her hands and massaged Jennie’s face with her cold hands.

Next, Jennie put her entire face in a container filled with ice water. Taking her face out, Jennie trembled and exclaimed, “Oh, it’s so cold”. Hesitating for a while, she said, “Wow…”, and then put her face into the water again.

After washing her face with ice, Jennie began to get her makeup done. Later, she interviewed her hairstylist while eating French fries.

Jennie asked, “How did you come up with this hairstyle?”. The hairstylist replied, “BLACKPINK and BLACKPINK Jennie are artists representing Korea. So when the world sees her, I wanted them to see the beauty of Korea by incorporating Asian elements into her look”.

Hearing that, Jennie said, “That’s right. It’s a mixture of Korean and modern and traditional and classic. I really wanted to create a timeless look”. She added, “If I look back in like ten years, I don’t want to regret anything. So that was also a big decision that I considered”.
