BLACKPINK delivered another high-quality news after “Pink Venom” gained explosive popularity

BLACKPINK announced that they are filming a music video for their second full album’s title track amid the explosive popularity of “Pink Venom.”

According to YG Entertainment on August 24th, BLACKPINK members (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) are working hard with the staff at a music video filming site in Gyeonggi-do.

While preparing for their scheduled world tour and comeback stage, the group is reportedly carrying out a tight schedule to keep their promise with their fans. YG added that the love and support of global fans are a great help to BLACKPINK members.

BLACKPINK will release their second full album “BORN PINK” on September 16th. “Pink Venom” is a pre-released song on the album with its strong intro character. The track focused on expressing BLACKPINK’s clear colors, as well as giving a signal for the long journey the group will unfold in the future.

For this reason, the industry has been paying more attention to the title song BLACKPINK will release next month. Although the song title is still shrouded in mystery, it is interpreted that this real title song is expected to be a so-called “knife sharpening song” that YG has been preparing for a long time.

In fact, YG said, “All the songs in the album show the determination to write a new history of BLACKPINK, but in particular, the title song will be a song that will surprise global music fans.” It added, “The music video will also raise the status of K-pop with a brand new concept that has never been seen before.”

BLACKPINK has already confirmed their overwhelming presence and influence in the global music market with their pre-released song “Pink Venom.” They are the first Korean artist to rank first on the Spotify Global Chart for three consecutive days, predicting a positive performance on Billboard in the U.S and Official in the U.K, the world’s two largest pop charts.

In addition, the “Pink Venom” music video, released on August 19th, recorded about 90.4 million views in the first 24 hours, breaking the world record for female artists in this category. Since then, the MV has surpassed 100 million views in about 29 hours, breaking the record of the shortest time to do so for a K-pop girl group.

BLACKPINK’s physical album sales are also of interest. Earlier, their three versions of physical albums, including the BOX SET, KiT, and LP, surpassed 1.5 million pre-orders a week after pre-orders began, and with the additional digital pack version added on August 22nd, BLACKPINK definitely live up to their title as the best K-pop girl group.
