Girl group BLACKPINK had a successful comeback by breaking another record on YouTube with the music video of their second full-length album’s pre-released song “Pink Venom”.

According to YG Entertainment on August 20th, BLACKPINK‘s “Pink Venom” music video surpassed 100 million views on YouTube at 6:35 PM on the same day. It has been about 29 hours and 35 minutes since it was released at 1 PM on August 19th. This is the fastest K-pop girl group music video to reach 100 million views so far.

Before “Pink Venom”, the fastest K-pop girl group music video to reach 100 million views was the music video of BLACKPINK’s mega hit “How You Like That” (32 hours and 23 minutes). The “Pink Venom” music video reached 100 million views 3 hours earlier, setting a new record.

The number of subscribers to BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel is increasing even faster. In fact, around the release date of the “Pink Venom” music video (August 19th), the number of subscribers increased by nearly 1 million in one breath, recording over 77.7 million now. The 80 million mark may not be long in coming.
