BLACKPINK continues world conquer, shows even more impressive results with “Pink Venom” 

The MV for BLACKPINK’s pre-release single “Pink Venom” recently broke a world record. 

According to the official count announced by YouTube on August 22nd, the MV for BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom”, which was released on August 19th, recorded about 90.4 million views within one day.

This surpasses BLACKPINK’s existing MV for “How You Like That”, which recorded 86.3 million YouTube views in 24 hours, and ranks 3rd in history among all male and female artists around the world.  

In addition, the “Pink Venom” MV attracted a total of 2,594,962 simultaneous users tuning into BLACKPINK’s YouTube premiere – the highest among Kpop groups.

“Pink Venom” MV has also exceeded 100 million views after 29 hours and 35 minutes – the fastest among Kpop girl groups. Moreover, despite it having been the 4th day after release, the MV is still the most viewed video on YouTube.

The song has so far swept the top of iTunes song charts in 74 countries, including the US and UK, and topped the Spotify Top Songs global chart, the world’s largest music streaming platform, for 3 days in a row.

Attention is being focused on what kind of record BLACKPINK will break next, especially with the group receiving explosive responses even before performing an official stage.
