BIGBANG G-Dragon’s “Free as clouds” vs. BTS V’s “Let’s go catch clouds”… Overlapping mention of “clouds”? 

G-Dragon and V, who are wrapped up in relationship rumors with BLACKPINK’s Jennie, draw attention for both mentioning “clouds” in their latest Instagram updates.

G-Dragon, Jennie’s alleged ex-boyfriend, and V, Jennie’s rumored current boyfriend, recently used the same word for their captions on Instagram. 

Specifically, on May 30th, G-Dragon posted several photos on his Instagram with the caption, “Libre comme les nuages”, which means “Free as the clouds” in French. 

G-Dragon shared a bird-shaped illustration full of clouds floating in the sky, a picture of the 63 Building and Namsan Tower in Yeouido, Seoul standing tall against the blue cloudy sky, and a picture of the sunset sky. G-Dragon also included mirror selfies and a photo of him sitting by the window looking at the scenery. In particular, G-Dragon’s extremely skinny figure in the photo where his entire body is shown drew fans’ concerns.

On the same day, 8 hours after G-Dragon updated his Instagram, V also became active on his account. V revealed how he was enjoying indoor skydiving through his Instagram story. He posted photos and videos of him trying to defy gravity while wearing a red uniform and a black helmet.

V attracted attention by adding a caption that says, “Let’s go catch some clouds” with a photo of him experiencing zero gravity.

The fact that G-Dragon and V, who are caught up in breakup and dating rumors with Jennie, coincidentally shared their whereabouts with the same keyword, “cloud”, have become a topic of discussion among Korean netizens.

Netizens showed reactions such as “Their Instagrams keep coincidentally matching”, “Why do they keep overlapping”, “The coincidences are amazing”, “Are they indirectly taking a jab at each other?”.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon and Jennie have recently been embroiled in rumors of a breakup. The two were rumored to be dating last year after being exposed by Dispatch but they did not officially acknowledge their relationship. 

Then, earlier this month, when G-Dragon unfollowed Jennie’s Instagram account, rumors of a breakup were raised, and after that, Jennie was swept up in dating rumors with V. 

In this regard, Jennie and G-Dragon’s agency, YG Entertainment, and V’s agency, Big Hit Music (HYBE) have not issued a response.
