“Big Mouth” maintained its No. 1 rating across dramas in the same time slot.
According to Nielsen Korea on August 21st, episode 8 of MBC’s “Big Mouth” aired on the previous day recorded a rating of 10.4% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 10.3% nationwide, maintaining its top spot among dramas in the same time slot.
In particular, the scene where Park Chang Ho (Lee Jong Suk) made a surprising appearance in a live broadcast soared to the highest real-time rating of 13.3%.
In episode 8, Park Chang Ho, who escaped from the grip of Gong Ji Hoon (Yang Kyung Won), raised curiosity by heralding a decisive prophecy that would change the flow of the Gucheon Hospital murder trial.
Park Chang Ho, who was imprisoned in a mental hospital without knowing English, fell into lethargy while drunk as directed by Gong Ji Hoon. However, realizing that Big Mouse knew that he had been kidnapped to a mental hospital, Park Chang Ho threw bait on Gong Ji Hoon to hold on until Big Mouse came to rescue him.
As expected by Park Chang Ho, Big Mouse set fire to the hospital to save him, and sent in his assistant Jerry (Kwak Dong Yeon).
Meanwhile, Go Mi Ho (Yoona) was shocked to hear the sudden news of Park Chang Ho’s escape. Go Mi Ho then put pressure on Choi Jung Rak (Jang Hyuk Jin), the prosecutor in charge of Park Chang Ho’s case. Park Chang Ho, who was watching this, comforted Go Mi Ho, saying, “I’m here, so don’t worry.”
While the brain fight between Park Chang Ho and the V.I.Ps was heating up, the trial was finally revised to reveal the truth about the murder case at Gucheon Hospital. As the V.I.Ps had already perfectly crafted the story of the trial, Park Chang Ho made a surprising entrance and confidently said, “Hello everyone, this is Big Mouse Park Chang Ho. Shall I make a prediction for today’s trial?”.
The dramatic ending scene gives viewers goosebumps and raises curiosity for episode 9 of “Big Mouth”, which will be broadcast at 9:50 pm KST on August 26th.
