On August 5th, CIX’s agency C9 Entertainment announced, “We would like to inform you about the future activities of CIX. We have decided to terminate the exclusive contract with Bae Jinyoung as of August 1st, 2024.“
The agency added, “We express our gratitude to Bae Jinyoung for his hard work as a member of CIX and ask for your continued support as he embarks on a new path.”
They also stated, “CIX will continue their activities with four members BX, Seunghun, Yonghee and Hyunsuk. They are currently preparing for a new album to be released in the second half of the year, along with various performances.”
Lastly, they expressed their appreciation to fans, saying, “We sincerely thank all the fans for their unwavering support and love for CIX and ask for your continued interest and affection for CIX’s future activities.“
Bae Jinyoung first gained recognition through his appearance on Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2” and subsequently debuted as a member of Wanna One. He later re-debuted as a member of CIX.
