“Alchemy of Souls”’s legendary “Betrayal Ending”? Viewers are complaining, “Is Jae-wook the Terminator?”

‘Is Lee Jae-wook the Terminator?’ ‘I’m going crazy!’ ‘Are the writers’ souls exchanged?'”

As it is a drama with high viewer ratings, the ending of “Alchemy of Souls” part 1 is a hot topic online.

Viewers who were deeply moved by the painful love of Jang Wook (Lee Jae-wook) and Mu-deok (Jung So-min), which led the 20th episode, said they were disappointed with the ending. In particular, some viewers are saying, “I thought I was exploding with fury while watching the ending,” complaining that the story was not properly wrapped up after giving a myriad of bait. Some even said that the Hong Sisters writers have given a top-tier betrayal ending.

Above all, amid a series of responses that “This is not what they call a plot twist” and “I feel betrayed” after seeing both the male and female protagonists dying, there is even an absurd reaction, saying “Is Jang Wook the Terminator” to Jang Wook who revived from the fire pit.

Moreover, the news that Jung So-min is not seen in the Part 2 trailer while Ko Yoon-jung, who appeared as Nak-su in the early episodes of part 1, will be the next main character is heating up online. Many commented, “I don’t think I can understand the emotion line anymore under the trailer that suggests Ko Yoon-jung’s part in Part 2.

Meanwhile, in the last episode (20th) of Part 1 of the drama “Alchemy of Souls,” Jang Wook (played by Lee Jae-wook) and Mu-deok (played by Jung So-min), who had promised to marry each other, ended up with a sad ending.

Jang Wook and Mu-deok spent their time hanging out onn the streets to match their rings, and Mu-deok, who is jealous of the women Jang Wook proposed to in the past, drunkenly confessed her love. But their sweet time didn’t last very long.

During the final fight, while Park Jin (played by Yoo Joon-sang) pointed a bow at an uncontrolled Mu-deok and Jang Wook tried to protect her by hugging her, Mu-deok, who is still controlled by Jin-mu, stabbed Jang Wook with a knife. Jang Wook hugged Mu-deok more and continued to call her name, and Mu-deok, who finally came to her senses, mourned Jang Wook’s death.

They decided to cremate Jang Wook, and everyone gathered in one place. Teacher Lee (played by Lim Cheol-soo) watched the scene and said, “This is not the end of you, Jang Wook, the King’s Star who has been granted the power of heaven,” he murmured. Suddenly, a blue fire rose, and Jang Wook walked out of the place where the flame was extinguished.

Mu-deok, who was sent to the graves, was dragged out of the water by someone, heralding a lead to Part 2. Part 2 of “Alchemy of Souls” is currently being filmed and will air in December this year.
