A pictorial of Lee Jae Wook and Ko Yoon Jung, main characters of the drama “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow,” has been released. This pictorial is a modern interpretation of the main couple’s sad but lovely mood in the drama, drawing exclamations from staff at the scene.
After the photoshoot, the two actors joined an interview with the magazine. Ko Yoon Jung said, “I already knew before that Lee Jae Wook was a good actor, but the Lee Jae Wook I saw directly on the set showed an even better performance than that. At first, I was surprised by his mature appearance, but later, I was surprised once more by his cute and lively appearance.” Lee Jae Wook then joined in, “It was not easy for me to match Jang Wook’s character according to the new drama setting that happens 3 years after, but it must have been even more difficult for Ko Yoon Jung.” He revealed, “She even contacted me first to match our script together. I was impressed by her passion.”
Both actors cited the “action scenes” as their most difficult scene and the scene they put their pride in the most. Ko Yoon Jung said, “There are so many scenes where the two of us are together, and our situations are similar, so I relied on him a lot. I even wondered if he was doing well with the scenes he filmed with other actors other than myself.” Lee Jae Wook added, “Our bond really builds up. Sometimes I’m even jealous, hoping that the scenes she filmed with me will be the prettiest and most impressive in the drama,” drawing laughter.
The pictorial and interview of Lee Jae Wook and Ko Yoon Jung are available in the January issue of Elle and on its website.
