ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin To Take the Stage for a Talk Lecture Amid Conflict with HYBE
ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, who is currently in a legal dispute with HYBE, is set to take the stage as a speaker for a talk lecture
On August 7th, Hyundai Card announced the lineup for the “2024 Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel”. This cultural event features a fusion of intellect and emotion through various programs such as talks, performances, exhibitions and busking, showcasing prominent icons from fields like art, academia, business and technology.
According to the lineup, ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, described as a producer who breaks the norms of K-pop, will give a talk on September 27th. Her talk will last for about 100 minutes, from 9:00 PM to 10:40 PM.
Min Hee-jin’s upcoming talk is drawing particular attention due to the buzz generated by her previous press conferences. On April 25th, she held an urgent press conference to counter HYBE’s allegations of attempting to seize control of ADOR. During the event, Min Hee-jin presented various pieces of evidence, including messages exchanged with HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, and openly addressed the media and the public.
This press conference had a significant impact, with Min Hee-jin speaking for 2 hours, often using informal language and expressing her frustration without a prepared script. The event’s aftermath was enormous, with her words even turning into memes, making it one of the most talked-about events of the first half of the year.
The conflict with HYBE continued after the first press conference. However, Min Hee-jin was able to maintain her position as CEO of ADOR after the court approved her request for an injunction against her dismissal.
Following this, she held a second press conference on May 31st, where she appeared in a brighter mood and even proposed reconciliation with HYBE, once again capturing public attention.
Min Hee-jin’s two press conferences garnered explosive views on YouTube and were praised for overturning public opinion in an unconventional manner.
Given the ongoing legal battle, it seems unlikely that Min Hee-jin’s conflict with HYBE will be resolved easily. However, by taking the stage for this upcoming talk, Min Hee-jin continues to assert herself confidently.
