BLACKPINK Ji Soo has a lump on her neck? A video from two years ago resolve the spreading “health issue rumor”

She is doing so well and going on a world tour, how can there be a health problem?

BLACKPINK’ Ji Soo is embroiled in untimely rumors of her health abnormalities. The issue began from an overseas YouTuber, who spread videos and photos online, including YouTube and SNS, claiming that “a small lump is seen on Ji Soo’s neck.”

The video and photos presented as evidence showed something bulging like a lump on the right side of Ji Soo‘s neck while singing. Some expressed concern that “her lymph nodes may be swollen or malignant.”

However, Ji Soo is currently staying in North America for BLACKPINK‘s world tour schedule. On Nov 2nd (local time), she successfully finished her group’s first concert night in Atlanta, USA. In common sense, it is impossible for her to have a health problem enough to have a lump the size of a coin on her neck, or any suspected tumor. In other photos and videos taken at the same concert hall, Ji Soo’s neck looks smooth.

It is already widely known among fans that Ji Soo’s neck tendons stand out, especially when she sings. Many fans and staffs explain that her veins tend to rise high when she sings, and that it seems to have caused an optical illusion as if a lump was formed due to the effects of lighting when those photos and videos were taken.

It is not the first time that Ji Soo has become a hot topic as her showing veins and tendons while singing was caught on camera. A similar situation has happened on an Korean entertainment program two years ago.

It was when Jisoo appeared on a broadcast of SBS’s entertainment program “Delicious Rendezvous” in September 2020. At that time, Jisoo sang BLACKPINK’s hit song “DDU-DU DDU-DU” using the karaoke machine. A scene in which Jisoo’s neck veins appeared clearly for a few seconds when she was singing drew attention. Many people pointed out that her veins got swollen in an unusual way.

At that time, some cyber wreckers on Youtube captured the moment when Jisoo’s neck veins swelled up and raised suspicions. The same thing happened again after two years.

Above all, contents that can nearly be considered malicious, such as videos focusing on BLACKPINK’s choreography mistakes and calling them ‘mess’, are also being reproduced and expanded to create controversies.

As BLACKPINK is holding their world tour, which is expected to be the largest concert tour of a K-pop girl group with 1.5 million audiences worldwide, the move of bringing up mistakes and raising rumors of Jisoo’s health condition to fuel controversies by those with malicious intentions is raising fans’ concerns.
