From Jennie’s new song to Lisa’s pole dance… BLACKPINK started their grand world tour with impressive performances at the Seoul concerts

BLACKPINK announced the start of their world tour in front of 20,000 people at the concerts in Seoul. The members captivated everyone at the stadium by performing a setlist full of charms.

Opening their Seoul concerts of the “BORN PINK” world tour with “How You Like That”, BLACKPINK then heated up the atmosphere with “Pretty Savage” and “Whistle”. Showing up on the stage in pearl-colored costumes with golden details, the members charmed fans with their unique charisma.

After finishing the first performance, Lisa said, “I told you that I was very nervous before yesterday’s concert. Before starting the concert today, I thought ‘I can enjoy and have fun now’. But after coming on the stage, I got nervous again. Just like yesterday”, expressing her feelings.

Rosé continued, “I recognize some fans who came yesterday but also see many new faces. I think I can make a different memory from yesterday’s concert. Please sing along with us today, too”. Jisoo shared, “We’re going to do a world tour again after 4 years and the tour starts in Seoul so it’s more meaningful to me. I hope everyone can jump and play with us so that we can feel your energy”, showing her excitement from the beginning of the performance.

In addition, Jennie said “I think you can enjoy and sing along to our next song” then presented the stage of “Don’t Know What To Do” with the members. Lightsticks of fans also responded to the music and joined the colorful performance of BLACKPINK.

Returning to the stage after a short break, BLACKPINK caught the eyes of fans with their black, pink, gold and white outfits. The girls introduced a compilation of their hit songs, including “Kill This Love”, “Crazy Over You”, “Playing With Fire”, and “Pink Venom”. In particular, there were laser lights in the center of the stage for the performance of “Pink Venom” and they colored the whole concert hall pink.

As BLACKPINK is popular around the world, their fanbase is very diverse. The amount of male and female fans at the concert was even, and there were also many foreign fans. All of them couldn’t take their eyes off BLACKPINK throughout the whole concert, and they seemed to have enjoyed the music so much as they kept waving lightsticks from side to side.

What’s special about this concert is that there were solo stages for the members to show their individual charms. Jisoo selected the song “Liar” by Camilla Cabello and introduced a sexy performance in a bold red outfit that highlighted her black hair. With an unreleased English song, Jennie drew attention by presenting a pair dance with a male dancer.

Rosé and Lisa also decorated the stage with their own solo songs. Rosé impressed everyone with her amazing singing skills through the performance of “Hard to Love” and “On The Ground”. Meanwhile, Lisa showed off her strong charms with “LALISA”, “MONEY” and a powerful pole dance.

After finishing their solo stages, BLACKPINK returned as a whole group. The girls completed their setlist of 23 songs with “Shut Down”, “Typa Girl”, “DDU-DU DDU-DU”, “Forever Young”, “BOOMBAYAH”, “and “As If It’s Your Last”.

The Seoul concert of BLACKPINK’s world tour “BORN PINK” attracted 20,000 audiences in two days, Oct 15-16. In fact, KSPO DOME can accommodate 15,000 people at once but the standing area was changed to seats for safety in accordance with the Covid-19 prevention guidelines, BLACKPINK’s concert successfully welcomed 20,000 visitors for two days.

This concert was jointly created with the participation of staff who used to plan concerts for world-famous pop stars, such as Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Childish Gambino, to make the best setlist and present the best sound. In addition, a band session joined and rearranged BLACKPINK’s mega-hit songs into intense band performances to showcase the members’ new charms and explosive energy.

After the two-day concert in Seoul, BLACKPINK will begin their world tour to North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, and is expected to attract approximately 1.5 million audiences, which is the best record for K-pop girl groups. BLACKPINK plans to carry out 14 shows in North America, the first stop of “BORN PINK” world tour. Starting with the concert in Dallas on the 25th and 26th of October, the girls will tour around a total of 7 cities, including Houston, Atlanta, Hamilton, Chicago, Newark, and L.A.
