The filming of a movie starring an idol-turned-actress was suspended due to a production company official’s messenger phishing scam damage.
According to Seoul Economic Daily on August 30th, Seoul Dongdaemun Police Station received a related report and started an investigation on August 25th.
The official A suffered 13 million won in damage from a messenger phishing scam that recommended loans through KakaoTalk messages. As a result, the filming of the movie was reportedly suspended due to a setback in the payment of production costs.
Currently, the police are checking CCTV and conducting an investigation.
