“It’s been over a year”… The trial on Yang Hyun-suk’s threatening charges has been delayed again? Why?

The trial of YG Entertainment’s former CEO Yang Hyun-suk, which began in August last year, will continue in September.

On August 29th, the 9th trial for former YG CEO Yang Hyun-suk on charges of violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Certain Crimes was held. The trial on that day was carried out with the examination of two witnesses.

At the trial, two witnesses testified that Han Seo-hee made the report to distort money and that there was no possibility of Han Seo-hee being locked in the bathroom at the campaign filming on the day she was threatened.

A, who was also notified of the witness examination, was absent from the trial that day. A is a drug supplier who supplied marijuana and drugs to Han Seo-hee. Han Seo-hee claimed that she told A about her being threatened by Yang Hyun-suk while being investigated in August 2016.

The reason why A did not attend the trial was that they had an appointment to receive medical treatment. The court raised questions about A’s absence from the trial, which had been scheduled for a few months before, with the excuse of an appointment for medical treatment. The prosecutor also did not know the exact reason, revealing that A, who was imprisoned in the detention center, suddenly reported his non-attendance before the trial began.

The trial for former CEO Yang Hyun-suk has been delayed several times due to the absence of witnesses. Once again, Han Seo-hee also did not attend the trial.

The trial, which has been going on for more than a year, will be concluded after completing the witness examination and evidence review on A and the questioning of Yang Hyun-suk. Attention is focused on how long it will take this trial to end.
