On June 6, Jung Ga Eun took to her personal social media account and explained her recent absence from the public eye. “I’ve been a little quiet lately, right? I was busy focusing on rehearsals, but I also got sick in the middle of it all and ended up being hospitalized,” she wrote.

Despite undergoing treatment, Jung Ga Eun said she continued preparing for her theater production. “Even during treatment, I kept reading the script and worked really hard to prepare for the play Dangerous People. I’m finally stepping onto the stage today. I’ll greet you sincerely through my performance,” she added, including the hashtag “#hospitalbedfight.”

She later revealed the reason for her hospitalization, saying, “There was a hole in my lung. Don’t worry too much!!! I’ve safely been discharged, and now I’m healthy and heading back to perform in the play!” Her update quickly sparked concern among fans.

Alongside the post, Jung Ga Eun shared photos of herself lying in a hospital bed with a tube attached to her nose. Her noticeably slimmer appearance and visibly tired condition left many fans worried.

However, in photos taken after her discharge, the actress appeared much brighter, smiling warmly and looking significantly healthier as she prepared to return to the stage, reassuring supporters about her recovery.

Meanwhile, Jung Ga Eun has been raising her daughter as a single mother following her divorce in 2018. In addition to her entertainment career, she has remained active in various fields, including obtaining a taxi driver’s license and taking on theater projects.
