Many people have long viewed Chinese supermodel Ming Xi as a real-life Cinderella who married into one of Asia’s wealthiest families after her infamous fall at the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2017. However, Chinese media reports suggest that the model’s background is far from ordinary.
On June 1, Ming Xi and billionaire heir Mario Ho held their wedding ceremony at Mont-Saint-Michel in France, seven years after they began dating. The event symbolized Ming Xi’s full acceptance into the influential Ho family, one of Asia’s most prominent business dynasties.
The “Cinderella” narrative surrounding Ming Xi largely stems from her highly publicized runway fall during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai. Mario Ho has also previously revealed that he was the one who pursued the relationship. Introduced through his sister, who was friends with Ming Xi, he reportedly spent considerable time winning her over after she initially rejected his advances.
