According to Chinese-language media reports, a luxury penthouse owned by Jing Tian in Shanghai is currently being marketed at a substantially reduced price after spending several months on the market without a sale.
The property in question is a 460-square-meter penthouse located in the prestigious Greentown Huangpu Bay, one of Shanghai’s most exclusive residential developments.
Situated along the Huangpu River, the residence reportedly features panoramic 270-degree river views and is considered one of the area’s premium luxury properties.
Jing Tian reportedly purchased the penthouse in 2020.
The actress first listed the property for sale in January 2026 with an asking price of 155 million yuan. However, after nearly four months on the market, reports indicate that the price has been reduced to 135 million yuan a decrease of 20 million yuan, or nearly 13 percent.
Videos shared by real estate agents have also shown the apartment completely emptied, fueling speculation that the actress is eager to complete the transaction.
Alongside news of the price reduction, Chinese media outlets have circulated claims from anonymous sources alleging that Jing Tian is currently involved in financial negotiations related to a wealthy businessman reportedly linked to her private life.
According to the rumors, the actress may need to raise nearly 200 million yuan in compensation payments, prompting her to accelerate the sale of several properties in both Beijing and Shanghai.
However, these claims remain unverified, and neither Jing Tian nor her representatives have publicly commented on the allegations.
The property sale has attracted additional scrutiny because it comes just days after Jing Tian became embroiled in a highly publicized surrogacy controversy. The controversy began on May 22 when documents allegedly linked to a surrogacy arrangement surfaced online.
According to the circulating claims, Jing Tian and a wealthy boyfriend were allegedly involved in discussions with a surrogacy agency regarding a potential surrogacy arrangement in the United States.
The documents further alleged that the actress was expected to travel overseas as part of the process and that financial disputes later emerged between the parties involved. Shortly after the allegations spread online, Jing Tian’s agency issued a statement firmly denying the claims.
