Actress Lee Da-hee became emotional during a recent episode of Six Singles Under One Roof, opening up about the unexpected challenges of living with friends and the bittersweet feelings she experienced after finding herself alone in an empty house.

The May 29 broadcast showed Lee Da-hee enjoying some rare solo time after her housemates temporarily left the shared home.

While fellow cast members Jang Keun-suk, Ahn Jae-hyun, and Kyung Soo-jin traveled to Japan, and Jang Do-yeon and Choi Daniel left for work schedules, Lee Da-hee was the only person remaining at the Gugidong house.

Taking advantage of the quiet atmosphere, she spent time exercising and stretching before treating herself to beer and snacks. She later headed to a coin karaoke room, where she sang a variety of songs from different genres.

However, while performing a ballad, Lee Da-hee suddenly burst into tears, surprising viewers and the production team alike.

Reflecting on the emotional moment during a follow-up interview, Lee Da-hee admitted that she was unable to pinpoint exactly why she became overwhelmed.

“I can’t really explain it, but I just started crying,” she shared.

The actress explained that although she had spent only about half of the show’s filming period living with her housemates, the experience had become deeply meaningful to her.“It was such a happy and enjoyable time, but when you live together, it can’t always be perfect,” she said.

Lee Da-hee went on to reveal that sharing a living space with others brought a level of emotional strain she had not anticipated.

According to the actress, everyone involved had spent years living independently, making it difficult at times to adjust to one another’s habits and lifestyles. “We’ve all lived our own lives for a long time. Having to be considerate of each other and adapt while living in the same space was probably more stressful than I realized,” she confessed.

She added that the experience was entirely new for her and compared it to the adjustment period many married couples go through. “It’s the first time I’ve experienced something like this. Married couples need time to adjust to each other, and I think friendships are the same.”

Despite acknowledging the challenges of communal living, Lee Da-hee admitted that being left alone in the house made her realize how attached she had become to her housemates.

“When everyone left and I was the only one there, the house felt empty,” she said.

The actress explained that a flood of emotions hit her all at once as she reflected on the time they had spent together. “Living together is definitely not easy. But when I think about having to say goodbye to these friends, it makes me feel strange.”
