According to reports from MyDaily on May 21, the first hearing for Source Music’s ₩500 million KRW damages lawsuit against Min Hee-jin has officially been postponed from May 29 to June 12 at 4:45 PM.

The delay reportedly came after Min Hee-jin’s legal team submitted a request to change the hearing date on May 19, which the court later accepted.

Source Music originally filed the lawsuit against Min Hee-jin in July 2024 at the Seoul Western District Court. The company argued that several public claims she made during her conflict with parent company HYBE were false and damaging.

During a highly publicized press conference, Min Hee-jin claimed HYBE broke its promise to debut NewJeans as the company’s first girl group. She also alleged that Source Music neglected the NewJeans members and failed to properly support or promote the group.

In response, Source Music strongly denied the accusations and criticized Min Hee-jin for repeatedly mentioning other artists publicly in what the company described as a disrespectful manner.

The label additionally argued that claims suggesting LE SSERAFIM harmed other artists or benefited unfairly from company favoritism were false narratives being spread as established facts to manipulate public opinion.

The ongoing dispute between HYBE, Min Hee-jin, ADOR, and multiple affiliated labels has remained one of the Korean entertainment industry’s most closely watched legal and corporate conflicts over the past two years.

With the hearing now delayed once more, public attention continues focusing on how the legal battle could impact both the companies involved and HYBE’s broader management structure moving forward.
