A reporter called him and said, ‘Your son is getting married, congratulations.’ My father responded, ‘Oh… thank you,’ without knowing what it was about.” That brief exchange was reportedly interpreted as confirmation, leading to articles claiming the couple’s marriage was finalized.
Ha Jung Woo expressed disappointment over how the situation was handled, noting that proper fact-checking was not conducted. “When publishing such articles, they should confirm with our agency first, but it was reported in a strange way,” he said. After the news broke, he contacted his father, who apologized for the misunderstanding.
The actor also opened up about his relationship with Cha Jung Won, which was confirmed earlier as a serious one. During the interview, host Choi Hwa Jung praised Cha Jung Won’s popularity and fashion sense, even suggesting she join them on the show.
