BTOB, a seven-member boy group, debuted under Cube Entertainment in 2012 and steadily built a loyal fanbase with their music and performances. However, in 2020, Ilhoon left the group after being investigated for marijuana use between 2016 and 2019. The rapper later received a two-year suspended sentence, bringing an end to his activities with BTOB.
Since then, Ilhoon has gradually returned to the public eye. After completing his military service, he resumed his music career by releasing digital singles in 2024 and a full-length album in 2025.
Recently, during one of his livestream sessions, a fan asked Ilhoon about current BTOB member Peniel’s birthday. In response, the idol revealed that he had actually celebrated the occasion together with him, confirming that they still keep in contact.
The comment quickly drew attention among fans, many of whom were happy to hear that Ilhoon and the BTOB members remain on good terms despite his departure from the group.
Meanwhile, BTOB is set to make a comeback on March 21 with a digital single, and the news of Ilhoon’s continued friendship with the members has sparked hope among some fans that the group’s bond remains strong even years later.
