On February 2, BTS departed for Portugal via Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for an overseas schedule. Notably, it marked the first time in nearly four years that all members were seen together at the airport, drawing massive attention from fans worldwide.
While in Portugal, V was spotted enjoying a quiet moment at a tart specialty bakery. One fan who happened to be working at the shop recognized him immediately but chose not to approach, later explaining that they wanted to respect both V’s privacy and their responsibilities at work.
The fan later shared a photo with V on social media, writing, “I just met Taehyung, and he looks so unreal it’s like he was made by AI. I still can’t believe it.” In the photo, V smiles warmly with his hand naturally resting on the fan’s shoulder, while the fan beams brightly at the camera.
According to the fan’s account, while his manager ordered pastéis de nata and Coke Zero, V casually looked around the shop and took photos of the tarts. As he was about to leave, the fan softly said, “Goodbye, Taehyung,” but he didn’t hear them at first. After the manager relayed the message, V turned back, smiled, and replied, “Bye, thank you.”
Just when the encounter seemed to be over, V returned to the shop to pick up some napkins. At that moment, he lightly hugged the fan and said, “Thank you so much.” When the fan shared that they had been an ARMY for nine years and planned to attend BTS’s concert in Madrid, V surprised them by asking first, “Would you like to take a photo together?”
The fan recalled that V continued smiling until the very end, offering heartfelt thanks and a warm goodbye before leaving.
