Yuta is a Japanese singer, rapper, dancer, songwriter, actor, and radio host based in South Korea. He is a member of the South Korean boy band NCT and its sub-units NCT 127 and NCT U, both managed by SM Entertainment. Yuta debuted with NCT 127 in 2016 and has since become known for his strong stage presence, versatile performance skills, and expanding solo career.

Career
Pre-Debut and SMROOKIES
Yuta joined SM Entertainment in the early 2010s, entering the company through its Global Auditions in Japan. He trained as part of SMROOKIES, SM’s pre-debut trainee team, and gained early public exposure before debuting with NCT.
Debut with NCT 127 and NCT U
Yuta officially debuted with NCT 127 on July 7, 2016, with the group’s first extended play NCT #127, marking his professional entry into the K-pop industry. He later became part of the rotational unit NCT U in 2020, participating in the group’s broader project activities.
Within NCT 127 and NCT U, Yuta serves primarily as a lead dancer, sub-vocalist, and sub-rapper, contributing to the groups’ dynamic mix of hip-hop, R&B, and experimental pop sounds.
Solo Career (2024–Present)
In 2024, Yuta embarked on a solo music career, releasing his first extended play Depth digitally on October 3, 2024, ahead of his solo tour across Japan. The EP marked his official solo debut and was followed by a physical release on November 13, 2024.
In May 2025, he released his first Japanese single Twisted Paradise as part of his ongoing solo activities.
Acting
In addition to his music career, Yuta has pursued acting. He made his acting debut in the Japanese film High&Low: The Worst X (2022) and starred in the live-action adaptation of the web manga Play It Cool, Guys (2023), expanding his presence in television and film.
