On November 7, Maeng Seung Ji took to her social media to expose a direct message (DM) exchange she had with a malicious commenter. Alongside a screenshot, she wrote, “I report all malicious comments and sexual harassment. There will be no mercy. Think twice before posting hate.”
Recently, Maeng has been sharing bold and confident photos on her social media, showcasing her figure in form-fitting outfits. She clarified that these were not for commercial use but simply expressions of self-confidence and self-satisfaction. However, some netizens crossed the line by sending messages that objectified her appearance or included sexually inappropriate remarks.

In the screenshot, Maeng cited Article 70 of the Information and Communications Network Act, which covers defamation and insult, warning that “any message that induces sexual shame or evaluates appearance and body can be punishable by law.”
She further declared, “I’ll be filing reports. I’m collecting a group of offenders,” signaling a collective legal action approach. The individual who sent the message quickly replied with an apology, writing, “I’m sorry.”

Despite the apology, Maeng maintained her stance, adding, “I’ve also saved this person’s face.” Her response clearly indicated that she intends to follow through with legal proceedings.
Maeng Seung Ji debuted in 2013 as part of MBC’s 20th comedian class and gained public attention as a reporter on Infinite Challenge. She has appeared on various variety shows and is currently active in theater, recently starring in the play Male Friend Female Friend.
With her post, Maeng not only defends herself but also sends a powerful message to online harassers: celebrities are no longer staying silent.
