According to an exclusive report from IZE on October 15, Lisa has officially joined the cast of the new spin-off film from the hit Extraction franchise, led by Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth. The project, produced by the Russo Brothers, will expand the cinematic universe of the Netflix original series while introducing an entirely new protagonist and storyline, separate from Extraction 3.
The cast lineup, already featuring Ma Dong Seok and Lee Jin Wook, is further strengthened by Lisa’s addition. In Extraction: Tigo, Ma Dong-seok stars as Tigo, a mercenary who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue a kidnapped comrade. The actor also participated in the story’s development and will co-produce the film through his production company, Big Punch Pictures. Lee Jin Wook will portray a powerful rival character, setting up an intense face-off with Ma Dong Seok.
The film will be directed by Lee Sang Yong, known for his work on The Roundup and The Roundup: No Way Out, both praised for their explosive action sequences. The screenplay is penned by actor-writer Cha Woo Jin.
This marks Lisa’s second major acting role following her Hollywood debut in HBO’s The White Lotus Season 3. In September, she signed an exclusive contract with top U.S. talent agency WME, officially kicking off her global acting career. Despite her brief screen time in The White Lotus, Lisa made a strong impression, and her role in Extraction: Tigo is expected to solidify her position as a rising global actress.
As one of the most influential K-pop icons, Lisa has already conquered the global stage as a BLACKPINK member and solo artist. After founding her management label LLOUD in 2024, she has continued to expand her career into music, fashion, and entertainment — and now, into Hollywood action cinema.
