Speaking on the SPNS TV YouTube podcast, Chaeyoung reflected on the overwhelming challenges she faced as a young artist navigating sudden fame. She admitted that during her rookie days, especially at the height of “Cheer Up” and “TT” promotions, she would sometimes only manage thirty minutes of sleep per day, with two to three hours being a luxury.

Balancing school and non-stop schedules pushed her to her limits. “That was the hardest time for me,” she confessed, noting that the lack of rest made her seriously consider quitting the group altogether. “I thought, ‘I can’t do this anymore,’” she admitted.
The stress even led to frequent arguments with her mother, who eventually persuaded her to stay. “My mom told me, ‘You trained for three and a half years—wouldn’t it be a waste to quit now?’” Chaeyoung recalled. Those words struck a chord, making her reconsider whether she might regret stepping away from the path she worked so hard to achieve.

Her revelation sheds light on the intense struggles idols face behind the glamour, reminding fans of the resilience required to endure the K-pop industry’s harsh demands.
