Appearing on the show Lee Mujin Service, Shownu reminisced about the early days of his career. He explained that after spending two years as a JYP trainee, he decided to gain stage experience and earn some money as a dancer. Around that time, Lee Hyori was preparing for her Bad Girls album and needed dancers with striking visuals, giving him the opportunity to perform alongside her on stage.
What left the deepest impression on him, however, was Lee Hyori’s kindness toward her dance team. “She didn’t eat meat at the time, but she still always treated the team to Korean barbecue. Sometimes after drinks, she would suddenly hand us ₩50,000 notes. At that time, I earned around ₩40,000 per broadcast, but she would give us ₩100,000 as pocket money,” Shownu revealed.

He went on to share that Lee Hyori also prepaid dozens of tanning sessions at a large salon in Apgujeong for her dancers, since their performances often involved exposed outfits. “It was her small, thoughtful actions in daily life that really touched me,” he added.
Host Lee Mujin praised the story, noting, “Learning how to treat colleagues isn’t something you can just pick up right away. Experiencing that from her must have been an invaluable lesson.”
Lee Hyori’s reputation as not just a top artist but also a supportive and caring leader clearly left a lasting mark on those who worked with her.
