On September 30, Bae Jung-nam posted photos on his personal social media of Bell’s framed picture alongside her urn, writing simply, “I love you.” The day before, he revealed that Bell had passed away from a sudden heart attack.
“My beloved daughter Bell has become a star in the sky,” he wrote. “She went through rehabilitation, surgeries, and so many hardships, and I was just grateful and proud. I wished she could finally live in peace, but she suddenly collapsed from a heart attack and left for dog heaven.”
He continued, “Bell was such a kind and beautiful daughter. So many people sent her love, support, and encouragement, and I’m deeply thankful. Now, don’t hurt anymore and run free where you are. Thank you for coming to me. Daddy loves you so much.”
Bae Jung-nam had previously revealed in 2022 that Bell had suffered from acute disc issues that left her paralyzed. His journey with Bell was even featured on SBS’s Animal Farm, where he expressed his unwavering hope: “I believe miracles can happen if we give our best until the end.”
Tragically, just as Bell had begun walking again, she passed away suddenly. Bae shared her final photos online, showing her playing joyfully in grassy fields and swimming pools.
After Bell crossed the rainbow bridge, fellow celebrities sent words of comfort. Ahn Bo-hyun wrote, “Bell, please watch over Jung-nam from heaven.”
Kim Go-eun added, “Bell was the happiest dog because she had such a devoted dad. She endured well and worked so hard.”
