Famed choreographer and dancer Riehata is officially returning to Korean television as a main producer on Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Hop Princess. The news comes only three months after she received heavy criticism during her appearance on World of Street Woman Fighter (WSWF), where she led the RH Tokyo crew before being eliminated in July.

At the time, Riehata was caught in controversy for allegedly minimizing fellow dancer Honey J’s screen time, which drew a wave of malicious comments online. Despite the backlash, she is now set for a high-profile comeback.
Hip Hop Princess is described as a Korean-Japanese joint project that will create a new global hip-hop girl group. Contestants will directly participate in every aspect of their artistry—from music and choreography to styling and video production—while showcasing individuality through both competition and collaboration.
The program will also explore the fusion of Korean and Japanese hip-hop culture, providing participants with opportunities to grow into unique artists.

The main producer lineup includes:
- Soyeon of (G)I-DLE – serving as both the show’s solo MC and a mentor figure. She first rose to prominence on the original Unpretty Rapstar and will now guide participants to discover their own artistic identities.
- Gaeko (Dynamic Duo) – a legend of Korean hip-hop known for producing multiple hits and broadening the genre’s reach.
- Riehata – bringing her expertise as a world-renowned choreographer and dancer, she will judge performances with a sharp eye while helping discover next-generation talent.
- Iwata Takanori – member of J Soul Brothers III and an active actor, expected to mentor contestants through his multi-faceted artistry.
The show’s production team commented: “A powerhouse team of top producers across various fields has come together. Please look forward to the growth stories that the four main producers will help create.”
Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Hop Princess premieres October 16 on Mnet in Korea and will be broadcast simultaneously in Japan via U-NEXT.
