The original soundtrack (OST) “Golden” from Netflix’s animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters has topped the UK Official Singles Chart for five consecutive weeks, marking yet another milestone for the Korean music industry. In total, nine K-Pop tracks have entered the chart this week alone.
According to the UK Official Chart on September 5 (local time), “Golden”, performed by the virtual girl group HuntRix in the film, maintained its number one spot. Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” took the second position.

The song “Golden” tells the story of HuntRix protecting the human world from evil spirits in the film. It was composed by former SM Entertainment trainee Lee Jae and performed by Audrey Nuna and Ray Ami. The track first entered the singles chart at #93 and climbed steadily to #31, #20, #9, #4, and finally #1, holding the top spot for four consecutive weeks.
“Golden” is not only dominating the UK charts; it has also claimed #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks, further cementing K-Pop’s global influence.
Other songs from the film also made a strong showing: the rival boy group Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” charted at #5, and “Your Idol” reached #8. TWICE members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung contributed to the OST with “Takedown”, landing at #24—making four OST tracks from the film on the Official Singles Chart.

Additional K-Pop chart entries this week include TWICE’s “STRATEGY” (#32), BLACKPINK’s “JUMP” (#34), KATSEYE’s “GABRIELA” (#46), Rosé’s “APT.” (#51), and Stray Kids’ “Ceremony” (#87).
The success of “Golden” highlights K-Pop’s growing dominance in both digital and traditional music markets worldwide. With animated films and virtual groups pushing creative boundaries, K-Pop continues to expand its global footprint.
