On August 27, Song Da-eun drew massive attention after uploading a TikTok video that quickly went viral. In the clip, she was seen waiting by an elevator at an apartment complex before BTS’s Jimin appeared. Greeting him unexpectedly, she caught Jimin off guard, prompting him to say: “Oh, you startled me. Did you know I was coming in? I came without telling you on purpose.”
The apartment was identified as Nine One Hannam, the luxury residence in Seoul where Jimin currently resides. The video immediately reignited dating speculation between the two, who have faced similar rumors since 2022.
Song Da-eun was previously rumored to be dating and even living with Jimin in 2022. Some fans accused her of fabricating a “self-made dating scandal” and spread rumors that she was delusional.

In response, Song Da-eun warned in 2023, “I’m perfectly sane. Don’t try to scare me about how terrifying fandoms are or how I’m supposedly getting sued. Like before, I’ve saved all the evidence.” However, she neither confirmed nor denied the dating rumors.
Earlier in June, Song Da-eun addressed online criticism during a live broadcast, stating: “Just because the idol you like loves me doesn’t mean I deserve to be insulted. I wasn’t the one who approached him first. So please stop targeting me, okay? You don’t know what I might do if I really lose my temper. You keep saying I’ll get sued—no, you’re the ones who could get sued, got it?” Her remarks at the time sparked further discussion but did not confirm or deny the alleged relationship. Meanwhile, HYBE, BTS’s management company, has not released an official statement regarding the newly surfaced video.

As for BTS, Jimin recently completed his mandatory military service in June and is preparing for the group’s much-anticipated comeback scheduled for spring 2026.

Separately, on the same day, entertainment outlet Xportsnews confirmed that Song Da-eun signed an exclusive contract with Merry-Go-Round Company, a content production and actor management agency that currently represents actors including So Joo-yeon and Hong Woo-jin.

Previously affiliated with I&Entertainment, Song Da-eun’s move marks a new chapter in her career. Since her 2011 debut in the MBC drama Can’t Live Without You, she has appeared in projects such as Once Again, Off the Course, and The Golden Spoon. She first rose to prominence after participating in Channel A’s reality dating program Heart Signal 2 in 2018.
