On the August 1st broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “The Seasons – Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile”, the show aired touching video messages from Park Bo-gum’s close friends, including BTS’s V, Roy Kim and Dragon Pony. IU also appeared in a prerecorded clip, saying, “I’m really sorry I couldn’t keep my promise to come on as a guest, but my congratulations are sincere.”
Moments later, she shocked everyone by walking onto the set in person, holding a bouquet of flowers. Despite wearing heels, IU knelt down to hand the bouquet to Park Bo-gum. Overwhelmed by the gesture, Park Bo-gum was visibly emotional, prompting IU to say, “Don’t cry.” She added, “I came because it’s your final episode. I had to keep my promise.”

Park Bo-gum, moved to tears, said, “Thank you so much. You must’ve waited a long time,” and explained that he never pressured her to come, knowing she was busy filming her drama. The two previously worked together on Netflix’s series “When Life Gives You Tangerines”, and their warm embrace on stage drew cheers from the audience.
“I’m embarrassed to have shown tears,” Park Bo-gum admitted, while IU revealed, “We ran into each other at an awards show a few days ago, but I avoided eye contact because I didn’t want to give away the surprise.”

Park Bo-gum also took a moment to celebrate IU’s recent achievement, proudly saying, “She won her very first Best Actress award.”
With IU’s appearance, “Cantabile” concluded not just as a talk show, but as a celebration of connection, support, and the emotional ties between artists. The surprise ending left fans deeply moved, proving once again that even in its farewell, Park Bo-gum’s show knew exactly how to touch hearts.
