On July 27, a Taiwanese netizen posted a new photo on social media, stating, “I went to Jinbaoshan to leave flowers and saw Koo Jun-yup there.” The netizen added, “I was surprised to see a man sitting alone at the center of the cemetery. When I got closer, I realized it was Koo Jun-yup.

According to the post, Koo was dressed in a black sleeveless T-shirt and a long-brimmed cap, quietly keeping watch beside the tombstone under the sweltering summer sun.

Previously, netizens had shared multiple sightings of Koo at Jinbaoshan, where Barbie Hsu was laid to rest in March after passing away from pneumonia due to influenza during a trip to Japan in February. Witnesses described him sitting for hours, absorbed in photos of his late wife on a tablet—even during heavy rain.

One person who encountered him described the scene, “He respectfully thanked us when we offered flowers. Seeing him so devoted filled me with sorrow. Losing a lifelong love must be unbearable.”

A local mentioned, “My daughter works at the cemetery, and she sees Koo Jun-yup visiting every day.” Another shared, “I saw him sitting there for a long time. When he left, he hugged the tombstone and gave it a goodbye kiss. That moment brought me to tears.”

Barbie Hsu’s mother, Huang Chun-mei, previously told the media, “It breaks my heart that Koo Jun-yup goes to Jinbaoshan every day.”

Following Hsu’s death, Koo reportedly lost around 7 kilograms, showing visible signs of emotional and physical grief as he continues to mourn his beloved wife.
