The live performance film “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS”, which features the world tour concert of BLACKPINK at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, was released to mark the group’s 8th debut anniversary. In particular, BLACKPINK also showed extraordinary fanservice through Pink Carpet and stage greeting events.
“BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS” Pink Carpet event was held at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo on August 9th. Numerous domestic and overseas fans flocked to the scene to celebrate the group’s 8th debut anniversary and the group’s reunion after a long time. Hosted by Park Kyung-rim, the Pink Carpet event began with the appearance of BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, arousing loud cheers from fans. BLACKPINK members showcased affection for fans by providing nonstop fanservice such as signing and taking selfies.
Appearing on the stage, BLACKPINK greeted fans warmly and introduced the movie to fans, First of all, Jisoo said, “BLINK! Thank you for waiting for us and coming to the Pink Carpet. To celebrate our 8th anniversary, our world tour will be released as a movie and it will vividly recall the scene of our concert. I hope you guys enjoy it”, raising fans’ expectations.
Jennie said, “To celebrate our 8th debut anniversary, we decided to meet fans through BLACKPINK world tour movie. Thank you so much for coming on such a hot day, and I’m happy to create good memories with you all”. Rosé also thanked fans, saying “I didn’t expect many people to come. I’m so touched. Congratulations on BLINK’s 8th anniversary and I hope you guys love it. It will be even better if you watch it in the theater.”
Lisa also expressed her excitement, saying “I hope it can convey how I felt during the concert. Please show much support and enjoy the movie”. Altogether, BLACKPINK shared, “Debuting on August 8th and now celebrating our 8th anniversary is so meaningful. Over these 8 years, our love for BLINKs, who have always supported and loved us, has grown as many as 800 times. We miss you guys so much, and seeing you guys again after such a long time makes us feel so happy and grateful.”
After wrapping up the Pink Carpet, BLACKPINK held a special stage greeting session for the audience. This is a unique event and all seats were sold out as soon as ticket sales opened. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of the audience, BLACKPINK personally signed for fans and delivered special gifts to fans, communicated with them and created a warm atmosphere.
