On July 23rd, ADOR stated through their official account, “After successfully completing this intense period of activities with many challenges, NewJeans will have a rest period to recharge and prepare to return with a new look.” They also mentioned, “We are aware of concerns about the dissemination of inaccurate stories. Currently, ADOR is taking the best measures to eradicate malicious comments based on anonymity.”
There was hardly any special event or commemorative gesture for the 2nd debut anniversary. The media’s continued targeting of Min Hee-jin seemed to hinder NewJeans’ progress.
Typically, the debut day of major popular groups is treated specially in various articles or by the agency. However, ADOR was only able to show material related to NewJeans’ 2nd debut anniversary on July 22nd.
